"Ingrid Tarrant acquitted of speeding"

On 12 November, Ingrid Tarrant, former wife of Chris Tarrant, was acquitted
of alleged speeding at a hearing before Feltham Magistrates.

Mrs Tarrant had vigorously contested the charges (which dates back to
November 2007) on the grounds that she was not driving her car on the day
in question and that she was wholly innocent of any wrongdoing. Following
representations from her solicitor, Richard Mallett, the Court accepted her
defence and threw the Prosecution`s case out with costs.

A delighted Mrs Tarrant said today:

“I am so pleased this is now finally over and very grateful to the Magistrates
and my lawyer, Richard Mallett, who was marvellous!”
